When you solve the visualization problem and bring
your digital data to the jobsite you can solve a host of
other problems, too. By gaining a clear and accurate
picture of the project in the context of its real-world
environment and helping others do the same, you're
able to:
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with all
project stakeholders
• Plan the project safely and effectively
• Streamline project workflows and processes
• Resolve problems onsite immediately
• Use your 3D models to access the
correct information
An augmented reality (AR) solution can help you
solve these challenges. And the good news is that AR
is easier to use than you may realize. Using already
familiar smartphones or tablets, workers can see the
3D model overlaid onto a live image of their actual
physical surroundings. This allows teams to understand
the design in context, including potential clashes or
constructibility issues, so they can adequately and
accurately plan the project.
